Six Blind Men and an Elephant
There were six blind men in a village. They
were very keen to learn and never stopped searching for knowledge. One day
walking through the forest they heard a sound and all stopped and they thought
that, they might learn new things from the sound and they came up to the sound
carefully and heard a voice who was the teacher of the elephant. Firstly, he
wanted to tie up with his elephant and told them to follow him.

A Little Knowledge is a Dangerous thing
There
lived a famous and good magician in Germany called Frankel who worked in his
house and there he made his magic spells. He only used his spells to make bad
people good and used spells to make his furniture did his all works. When he
became older one day he thought himself when he had gone who would do his all
works. So, he decided to look for a smart, intelligent, hard working and
brilliant student. He went to his old university and chose a smart,
intelligent, hard working and brilliant student named Hans who was eighteen
years old. Hans lived happily and worked hard in Frankel’s house with eagerly.
Load Shedding
Load shedding means the disconnection (সংযোগ
বিচ্ছেদ)
of the supply (সরবরাহ করা) of electricity for a certain (নিশ্চত/নির্দিষ্ট) time. It is
disgusting to our common life. It has become a regular affair (কার্য) in our country.
There are different reasons for load shedding. There is not enough production
of electricity in our country and it is the main reason of load shedding. Misuse
(অপব্যবহার)
of electricity is also responsible (দায়ী) for load shedding.
Early Rising
There is a
proverb in English that, “Early to bed early to rise makes a man healthy,
wealthy and wise.” Early rising is the
habit of getting up early in the morning from bed. If we wish to rise early in
the morning, we can make it into a habit. This habit is very useful to a man.

A Street Beggar
A Street Beggar
is
a person who earns money and leads his life by begging. Generally he lives
from hand to mouth. Usually he is seen in the public places such as- at the
railway station, bus stand, in the market, beside the main road and different
places. He lives in a slum or in a small hut or in the open sky.
A Rickshaw Puller
A Rickshaw puller is a person who earns
money and leads his life by pulling rickshaw. Generally he lives from hand to mouth.
He usually lives in a slum or in a small hut. He has no good house of his own.
So, he lives in a rented house. He is a laborious and strong bodied man. Every
day he gets up early in the morning.
A Railway Station
A railway station is a place where trains
shop and start from. It is a crowded (জনাকীর্ন) and familiar (পরিচিত) place to all. From
railway station people get into the trains and get down from the train. In a
big railway station there is a shed (ছাউনি) over the platform but at a small
station it is open. A railway station has its master’s room, ticket counter and
waiting room for male (পুরুষ) and female (মহিলা). There are restaurants (রেস্তরা), shops,
newspaper corners, book stalls and other stationary shops in it. Passengers (যাত্রীগন) come here from
different places and also go different places from here. Passengers always
gather (ভীড় করা) here to collect their tickets. They
push one another to go ahead. When the train comes it becomes a noisy place and
when train leaves the station it becomes calm and quiet (শান্ত). The flagman
moves with red and green flags. The hawkers make different sounds, beggars
continue their begging and all people also continue their own works in the
station. Thus a railway station is a place of great noise.
A Bus Stand
A bus
stand is a place where buses shop and start from. It is a crowded (জনাকীর্ন) and familiar (পরিচিত) place to all. From bus stand people get into the
buses and get down from the buses. In a big bus stand there is a shed (ছাউনি) over the platform (স্টশন প্লেটফরম)
but at a small station it is open. A bus stand has its ticket counter and
waiting room for male (পুরুষ)
and female (মহিলা).
Necessity of Learning English
Today
the necessity of learning English in the world can not explain in words. Now
English is the most important language. It is an international language. There
is hardly any country where English is not used, spoken and taught. About 350
million people speak English as a first language and more then 300 million
people use it as a second language. It is the official or semi-official language
in more than 60 countries.
My Parents
I am very lucky because
both my parents are still alive. My parents come from a noble Muslim family. My
father’s name is Mr. Ali Ahamed Master. He is about 55 years old. He is a
Headmaster of a govt. primary school. He is very responsible, dutiful,
punctual, helpful, co-operative, gentle, honest and hard-working.
My Next Door Neighbor
Neighbors
are those persons who live closest to our house or flat. Man is a social being.
He can not live alone in the society. So he has to live with other neighbor in
a particular place. I live in a city. I have many neighbors. All of them are very co-operative, helpful and
they are also honest and well behaved. They are simple, truthful and sociable.
Here some neighbors are dishonest and selfish. I have got a next door
neighbor.
Kazi Nazrul Islam
Kazi Nazrul Islam was born 24th May 1899
in the district of Bordoman and village Suruliya. His father’s name is Kazi
Fakir Ahamed and his mother’s name is Jayeda Khatun. His father was an Imam of
a local mosque. They were three brothers and three sisters along him. His nick
name was Dhuku Miah. He is our national poet. In 1908 when he was 8 years old
he lost his father.
How to Make a Garden
My younger
sister who is a student of class five is very interested in gardening but she
does not know how to make a garden. She sought my help and suggestion and
accordingly her request I suggested her how to do this. First I suggested her
to select a suitable piece of land in front of her reading room.

tea. So a tea stall is a common sight at any corner in our country. It is
usually seen in cities, towns, railway stations, bus stands, bazaars, any
educational institutions, banks, factories, and mills, industries, at launch

A Flower Garden
I have a garden. It is
a flower garden. It is situated in front of my reading room. Whenever I get
time, I work in it. In my garden I grow many types of flowers such as, the
rose, the marigold etc. on my holy day I pass my time by working in my garden.
Sometime I lose the soil with spade and weed out the grass.
